I hate to be the grumpy old man, but guys, show me ONE case (or better, show me the success/failure rate of such cases in a state) where a defendant who is not himself independently rich has been able to defeat in court their own family over a suit for nonconsensual psychiatric commitment. I am sorry to have to use these words, but you're living on the ninth cloud. In the USA, "mental patients", which really means those deemed as such, have about the same rights in court as Gitmo inmates. Yes, that's even less than "sane" paeds. |
