I saw a girl today. I don't have to describe her. What matters is what you have all felt. You're drawn, totally drawn, but you are also pushed back. And what pushes you back is not just the knowledge that you can't talk to her, flirt with her, get to know her, brush your hand against her cheek. What pushes back is the whole painful history of your own oppression. Your whole life pushes back. Each time you see a girl it's a reminder of your horrible curse, so it rips and tears at your chest and your stomach.

I may be oppressed, but I don't feel like I have a curse.

When I see a sweetie, delight obliterates nearly all other concerns.

Sure, my socialization skills are still running their subprograms against running off with her carried over my back. But hey, the telio-hetero side of me also has to cope with the civilized distinction between wanting and having.

But I'm hardly aware of that as I bask in the pleasure of her presence.

Yup, I'm fascinated with the history of revolutions; why some turned sour while other succeeded.

My own politics are Anarcho-Capitalist/Libertarian. But I definitely arrived from the left, rather than from the right.

I'm fascinated with the Urban Guerrilla movements from the late sixties to the mid eighties; Red Brigades, Action Direct, Baader-Meinhoff &tc.

I also find some of the other French weirdos interesting. Check out Guy Debord and the Situationist Internationale. Debord's The Society of the Spectacle makes for interesting reading even if it is frustrating in its tendency to assert rather than argue its own brand of post-Marxism.
