You must understand that I was stating the genral opinion that ive gotten from 7 months obsessing about why its wrong because I couldnt see why its wrong, so obviousley im going to look for reasons why its wrong because I dont like to think its right.

Any irrational biases can be confirmed by seeking long enough and weeding out any information which contradicts the opinion formed in ignorance.

Well, you're here. As long as you are here you might as well ask some questions; so long as you're open to the possibility that Pedophiles might have more of an inside view of Pedophilia than, say, a Heterosexual who has no Ped feelings. Further, there is a lot of scholarship out there to counter the ill-informed prejudices.

However, there is no need to insult either the community or our intelligences by falling back on repeating falsehoods.

If you're seeking to confirm your assumption that Pedophiles are child-molesters in complete ignorance of all established evidence, then I merely feel sorry for you. If you insist on saying the same thing over and over without at least providing some data to counter Rind, Lanning, The APA and The Federal Govt's stats on Child Abuse then I ask that you respect the community you asked to join when you came here.

Again, the "turn into a Pedophile" concept is at complete contradiction to the APA's stance on Sexual Orientations. Whichever Psychologist told you that "conditioning" could reverse an Orientation was spouting nonsense which his professional organization holds in contempt.

Your "I still honestley feel that I am a pedophile" runs counter to "if I think about peodphillia too much im going to turn into a pedophile."

If you fear "becoming" then you aren't whatever you may become. And no legitimate authority holds that "becoming" is an issue when it comes to Pedophilia. You may not be able to help your feelings, but a decent therapist could help you recognize that the feelings are irrational; and that seeking false data to confirm feelings generated by your illness can actually make your OCD worse.

Try this on for size, "If I think about turning into a Pedophile too much I'm feeding my illness." Trying to validate OCD impulses is an understandable symptom. But its not the way to manage such feelings.

Again, I must emphasize that we aren't the community who can help you with your OCD which has fixated on the false notion that you're a Ped. I think that any decent therapist would ask you to cease posting on a Ped site since it would only tend to magnify the distortions caused by your over-identification with a community you can't "become."
