What would the identifying features of a Pedophile Indoctrination Campaign at GirlChat look like?

First, it would have to target first time posters. The goal in indoctrination is to get at the potential subject as soon as one becomes aware of them. So how about those "Welcome to GC" posts the mods do?

Well secondly, the indoctrinating message would have to be sent with the goal of changing behavior or thought processes; changing them from those which could be validated outside of indoctrination to those which could only be rationalized through indoctrination.

At this point, my joke that security-consciousness was indoctrinated into me can be shown to be demonstrably false. Most messages and warnings about Net security have no Pedophile context. Its even quite possible for the computer illiterate to read enough articles about everything from basic online fraud to cyber-stalking that they'll bone up on security measures prior to going online.

So we must ask, is there anyone targeting first-time posters with a message aimed at getting them to drop some perfectly valid idea/behavior in lieu of adopting some bizarre practice which can't be externally validated or defended?

Perhaps ⛓️‍💥[Removed], or ⛓️‍💥[Removed] would count.

One of the first steps in indoctrination is a manipulation of language away from OED standard accepted usage and towards some jargony in-group usage. In an age of appeals to science and coercive authority much of the jargon is borrowed-from or designed to sound pseudo-scientific or faux-legal. But the real goal is to cut-off the language from its normative use so that the indoctrinee depends on the indoctrinator to provide new meanings and contexts. This makes the indoctrinator a superior and the indoctrinee a subordinate; thereby providing an air of authority which those who merely point to an accepted linguistic source like the OED cannot assume upon themself.

Of course for indoctrination to truly work the subject must be removed from an environment which supports critical thinking skills. A message board like GC will always have people who question the validity of peculiar usages or who ask those introducing unsubstantiated ideas to cite their sources and offer proof. Only by this process can we all progress without any need to appeal to unearned authority or require any indoctrination.
