I think the answer is quite simple. Google removed all listings for GC because its a pedophile website. While most people assume that this means we're trading child pr0n and rape stories, the fact that this isn't true doesnt matter. I'm sure that even if they hadn't decided to do this of their own accord, enough complaints from users about this 'disgusting website' they found using a Google search would be enough to get it done.
