Being a different adult

It's nice seeing LGs as equals and not treating them like a typical adult would, ie, talking to them as a friend, not an authority figure. But for me this is not always a good thing. On Saturday, two LGs who had previously only known me as another boring adult, realized that I was different. All was well, but I think they subconsciously realized that the normal respect required for adults was no longer necessary for me. So they started making fun of me. I have an endless list of embarrassing physical qualities, and when a kid starts commenting I have no defence. I suppose the experience as a whole was enjoyable, but it did get a little bit hurtful.
