I agree that we the community should be our own main support group for MAA's and AAM's. However, at some point, someone is going to have to fight for change with the way the APA perceives us and treats us. I know that they will claim that therapists treating us will be "promoting child molestation," but we can't let them back down out of fear of being called names, and someone has to oppose that nonsense and stand up for the truth. The liberals are fond of doing that, but we don't have to behave like mainstream liberals. We need to struggle to promote change, and this means standing up to ANY organization, no matter how powerful, who spreads misinformation about us. The crew on B4U-Act is doing that right now, and it has to start somewhere. We can't simply cave into the bullying of either the APA or law enforcement, and we have to work to make society cease perceiving all of us as criminals and to start seeing us as a valid orientation and, most of all, as human beings.
