I agree that there should be mental health professionals who will not use transference and be negatively judgmental when treating MAAs or AAMs. However, the ethics committee and APA will always bring up the obligation of "public safety" if some psychiatrists treat such people without informing authorities. Such psychiatrists could be under pressure to either resign, have their licenses revoked, or both. Unfortunately, the "baby raping" shouters and Hillary-Heads would constantly accuse the APA and any unbiased therapists of promoting child molestation (though that is FAR from the real intention) and murder of children.

There is no need for psychiatric intervention here. It will just lead to psychiatrists telling patients that their attraction is WRONG because the law declares that children are incapable of consenting to sex with adults, and since feelings predicate behavior worthless medications will be administered along with PUNITIVE preventive treatment. All for the reasons above.

I say those who have been in the pedophile community for an extended time should be the main supporters and voices of our attraction, and reinforce that fact that although we all must obey the laws, NO sexual attraction is ever wrong.
