Hi Joey,

I have always been a reasonably fit person. I am "height/weight proportional" and fairly well built. I grew up fighting (I was a ward of the State of Indiana as a child) and am proficient in defending myself.

Strength is having the ability to follow some course of action, and making a choice on engaging that course of not. Weakness is lacking the ability to follow some particular course of action, regardless of one's desire.

I did not defend myself in the assault several months ago, because I chose not to. I could probably have killed my assailant with my bare hands. I chose not to.

I don't care what other people think, only what I think of myself. He was an ignorant person, following a cultural programme beyond his comprehension. What would he have learned from my beating him down? What would our enemies have learned? I presumed, in the moment of the attack, that it was an organized and concerted effort, and that the results would become known to others that seek to harm us. This appears to be true.

love,

kevin
