I believe that both homosexuality and pedophilia have a similar evolutionary background. I believe that nature dictates that a certain percentage of the breeding-aged population have a sexual orientation that precludes them, or reduces the frequency of their, engaging in the types of sexual behaviors which lead to reproduction. This acts as a natural form of birth control and has the benefits of helping to prevent overpopulation which often causes the standard of living to be reduced. Of course, man being a highly intelligent social animal that frequently disobeys our animal instinct, led many people to go against their true orientation and mate with an adult partner of the opposite sex. Also, many people are in between one orientation or the other. So yes, many pedophiles and homosexuals reproduce either because they feel a need to do so to conform to society's standards or because they truly want to, but in general I would say that homosexuals and pedophiles reproduce less often than adult-age attracted heterosexuals. Ephebophiles who are attracted to youths old enough to reproduce would also produce more offspring than pedophiles, although legal and social conditions negate this to a certain extent.
