What makes one identify as a CL is that desire for sex.

If you do not promote that change, you're basically saying it's wrong, and by extension, you desire something wrong.

So furthermore, you say "accept me despite my immorality" or "accept me despite my pathetic delusions".

Like so many people who want to make the issue black and white, this is simply wrong. I do not claim that adult-child sex is inherently harmful, not here nor at DU. In fact, I have taken pains to argue otherwise. The reason I oppose legalizing it is simple--I think that A) young children are easily exploited, and B) there are plenty of assholes out there who would exploit children and be able to hide behind the law if it were lkegalized. That's it. I've yet to see a compelling argument to the contrary. On nearly every other point I agree with the pro-contact position, but I think this is the one argument they have yet to address adequately or convincingly, and until they do, if I must err I will err on the side of protecting children.
