I forgot that Lindsay did get some positive response. Write as many letters to as many different liberal newspapers as possible. If none of them print your letter, try telephoning other news agencies. If that doesn't work, go HTML. Make a web site, post on lots of message boards, talk in chat rooms, etc. Something has to give. I know there are sympathizers out there, you just have to find them. This is a lot of work, but it's definately worth it and probably your best chance at a fair trial.
