In all fairness, judges of either party tend to be (but are not always) fair and impartial interpreters of the law.
True, none can do so perfectly, but it is difficult to become a judge if one has a reputation for making a decision without waiting for the evidence or taking the time to think things through. In addition, traditional Republicans tend to put a high value on keeping families together, and are skeptical of government power. Much of the reason for the Democrats gaining control of the Congress in 2006 has to do with Conservative Republicans who are upset with the likes of Mr. Bush. Like Kevin, I cannot say whether the choice was wise or not, but it has its merits. As for Kevin - Thanks!you have done much for all of us. |
