Dismissal Motions (Civics) (State)
Posted by Kevin Brown on 2006-February-08 22:13:01 EST, WednesdayThe defendants are divided into four categories: municipal, state, federal, and private. The municipal, state, and two private defendant (the guardian ad litem and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children) have motioned for dismissal based on a variety of grounds. What follows includes a simple statement explaining the issues involved, the State trial brief supporting their motion to dismiss, my trial brief in response to the State motion to dismiss, and a short response back to my response from the State.
My reason for posting this is because I am carrying a good deal of anxiety about the pending dispositive order, and posting, and sharing with my friends, is a relief from that anxiety for me. I also think that objectively the matter is interesting. It is instructive in the nature of American civics, and the laws we live under.
Love,
Kevin Brown
